"From an early age, I have always had a great passion for technology, a desire to learn and help others all paired with an eye for perfection."Derrick Erhart, Owner, Badlands Technologies
What began as a high school student with a pasionate hobby in the late 1990's, quickly turned into the full service IT business you see today. Owner, Derrick Erhart, has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Early in Derrick's professional career, he worked for the largest land mass telephone cooperative in the continental US. This launched his career in the Telecom and Internet Service Provider industry. Derrick worked his way up quickly from the helpdesk through the drafting department, and then on to Outside Plant Engineering. He finally landed in his dream job, Central Office Engineering, where he worked on many large projects like Cable TV Headend Designs, Telecom Circuit Planning, Fiber Optic Networking and Voice-over-Internet Protocol (VoIP) telecom systems. In 2007, the course of Derrick's Career took a major turn when a severe illness caused the loss of his telecom job. In 2008, Derrick decided to start Badlands Technologies to use his technology background to help others. Derrick has multiple web design certifications, he also graduated Summe Cum Laude in early 2018 from Colorad Technical University with his Bachelors of Science in Information Technology. His Bachelors degree specialized in Network Design & Managment. Derrick is Comptia Network+ Certified and is presently working on getting Security+ Certified. Continuing to learn and grow with the industry is what keeps Badlands Technologies on the leading edge of Information Technology. Contact Us to setup a consultation appointment.
